So this has been the main subject in my mind for the past couple of months: Is it in my life plan to go on a mission? Should I go? Should I be planning for it? Is it what I'm supposed to do?
This is what I know: I LOVE sharing the gospel. I have been blessed with so many missionary experinces since I've been home. I woud LOVE to go on a mission. Everyone who has gone loved it. Every girl I know who has gone has said that they would suggest it to anyone. Especially those who are thinking about going. Also, I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. And I also know that having been blessed with this knowledge, I need to share it. The gospel bring me sooo much joy. It is what keeps me going every day. It is what gets me through my day to day life, and the trials that come along with it. I have seen the gospel brighten other people's lives who learn about it, and come near to Christ.
I know that going on a mission would be one of the best choices I could ever make in my life. It would not only be a blast, but I know that along with changing other people's lives, my life would be changed as well. I would learn so much and be truly strenghened.
SO as I've been praying and pondering this, I have decided to prepare myself. I signed up for a missionary preparation class at BYU-Idaho this next senmester. Also, I have been reading Preach My Gospel almost every night. That book is amazing. :) So if Heavenly Father has a mission planned for me when I'm 21, then I will be ready. As ready as I can be, that is. I'm not perfect. I still have 6 months before I can turn in my papers at the earliest, so there's plenty of time. Who knows what can happen- but I atleast have some sort of plan so I'm not wandering in the dark anymore. :) It feels great. I'm really excited. :)

I love Gordon B. Hinckley
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
I have a new resolve to be more optimistic every single day.

Gordon B. Hinckley
"I want to bear you my testimony. I know that God our Eternal Father lives. I know that. I know that He watches over us, His children. He is the great God of the universe. He is the Governor of the universe. And yet He listens to each of us, His children, and how thankful we ought to be. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer of the world, He who wrought a great Atonement in behalf of each of us. I do not care what you remember from this meeting, but I hope that you will remember this, that you heard Gordon B. Hinckley say that he knows that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer of the world... That is my testimony and it is as real and as true as the sunrise in the morning."

What the...
So, at work today I heard "Oops... I did it again" by Britney Spears playing on the over-head speakers. And that's not the first time I heard a Britney Spears song being played. What is this? I literally thought to myself, "Why is this song even being played anywhere?" But whatevs... perhaps Britney is becoming what could be called "classic." But certainly NOT "classy." Hah.

One more month!
Here is my random-ing for today: Only one more month until I go to school!!!!!! Man, I am so ready! :) I only wish I could've gotten into that fensing (sp?) class. I guess I'll just have to wait until next winter. But this next semester is going to be sweet! I'm taking Russian part 2, photography, ceramics, and mission prep! It shouldn't be a hard semester at all, which will be a nice way to ease back into school. :) This next semester is mainly for exploring... exploring my possibilities. Mainly I am testing out photography to see how much I enjoy it and see how good I am at it, and see if I want to persue that. I already know that I enjoy doing it, so it should be fun!
While I'm still at school, I really want to take astronomy, fensing, golf, and head drawing. Those are all mainly for fun, but head drawing could go towards my major. OH! And I want to take a family history class. It's great that I can take advantage of the opportunities to take these classes at school, where I could be paying lots of money for lessons, like golf or fensing. It's pretty sweet.
I decided to name something I'm greateful for each time I post a blog. Today for #1, I'm grateful for: the money I earned from scooping poop enabling me to buy some new shoes. :) Brown heels I might add. :)

The Heart of Life by John Mayer
I hate to see you cry, lying there in that position. There's things you need to hear, so turn off your tears and listen. Pain throws your heart to the ground. Love turns the whole thing around. No, it won't all go the way it should, but I know the heart of life is good. You know it's nothing new- bad news never had good timing. But then the circle of your friends will defend the silver lining. Pain throws your heart to the ground. Love turns the whole thing around. No, it won't all go the way it should, but I know the heart of life is good. Pain throws your heart to the ground. Love turns the whole thing around. Fear is a friend who's misunderstood. But I know the heart of life is good, I know it's good, I know it's good. Oh i know it's good. Oh i know it's good. Oh I do, I do, I do. Oh I know it's good.
One of the things I love about John Mayer is how his songs work perfectly with so many aspects of life. This is one of my favorite songs by him. I love the quote "You know it's nothing new- bad news never had good timing. But then the circle of your friends will defend the silver lining." It's so true! Also, "Fear is a friend who's misunderstood." I love it. I need to think about that more. There's so many reasons to have fear in life. Sometimes I just need courage to get up in the morning and tackle the day. I know personally, that sometimes I need to let loose and just take life as it comes. I worry so much about my life's direction and what's going to happen in the near future. It's these days and moments that I need to be cherishing. I know it sounds cliche, but there's a lot of truth to that statement. Each day that passes can never be brought back. I need to be making some sweet memories. Just like the song says- bad things happen. (I always think about that famous quote from Forrest Gump. Who knew that movie would be so inspirational? :)). However, the heart of life IS good. More good things happen than bad things. That's for certain. And when crummy things do happen, there's always people in your life who will pick you up again. Man, I just love John Mayer. Life rocks.

Youtube
I like Youtube. It's amazing. You can find new videos, or old videos. Like old episodes of Family Matters, or old-school music videos. It's a blast. It's sweet if you have lots of time to kill or you're just realllly bored. Here are some of my favorite videos that I've seen recently. I think they could be enjoyed by all!
This one is called: The Worst Music Video Ever. But don't be fooled- it definitely is worth watching!

This video is AMAZING!! It's just one of the great The Office videos there are. But this one is definitely the best I've seen. :)

First Blog...
So I've done this whole blog thing before... and I don't know who would be interested in reading the random happenings of my daily life, but I am doing this nonetheless.
....I don't know how to start.....
About a half hour ago, I walked into my room and found a fairly large spider crawling up my wall. I cannot express how obnoxious it is to enter your room and see a huge spider entering your turf, and possibly biting you in your bed. UGGGHHH. So, I took the nearest heavy object I saw (which ended up being a Dual Ab Roller. Funny how it's still in the box since Christmas.... it added to the weight, tho! Making it an easy, quick smack for the little bugger) and bonked the spider, which lifting the box was of course a flat little pile of guts (and legs...which is the most disturbing part). Blech. One of the grossist (sp?) parts of the deal is figuring out what to do with it once you kill it. So I had to scrape it off the wall with the edge of the box and dispose of it. So after I did this, I went to the closet right down the hall and pulled out the bug killer juice stuff (I like to keep it close). It's probably about a gallon in size, with a large handle. The juice is clearish with a purple tint. There's a small hose coming out of the top with a spray nozzle at the end. So what you do is twist the nozzle to fire and spray the carpet around the perimeter of the room- supposedly putting a sort of safe guard around the room to keep bugs out. I think it's been a while since I've last sprayed my room, so I made sure to do a fairly efficient job. However, I was too lazy to move the boxes and stuff along the wall, so I just skipped over those parts. I might regret that in the future...
Moral of the story: I don't know if there is one... but what I did learn is that I need to exercise more- particularly with my ab roller, and that I need to vaccuum my room. (I found some dead comrades of the little friend I killed... uuggggh)
